    No full text
Hemorrhagic complication (HC) is the most severe complication of intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). This study aimed to build a machine learning (ML) prediction model and an application system for a personalized analysis of the risk of HC in patients undergoing IVT therapy. We included patients from Chongqing, Hainan and other centers, including Computed Tomography (CT) images, demographics, and other data, before the occurrence of HC. After feature engineering, a better feature subset was obtained, which was used to build a machine learning (ML) prediction model (Logistic Regression (LR), Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGB)), and then evaluated with relevant indicators. Finally, a prediction model with better performance was obtained. Based on this, an application system was built using the Flask framework. A total of 517 patients were included, of which 332 were in the training cohort, 83 were in the internal validation cohort, and 102 were in the external validation cohort. After evaluation, the performance of the XGB model is better, with an AUC of 0.9454 and ACC of 0.8554 on the internal validation cohort, and 0.9142 and ACC of 0.8431 on the external validation cohort. A total of 18 features were used to construct the model, including hemoglobin and fasting blood sugar. Furthermore, the validity of the model is demonstrated through decision curves. Subsequently, a system prototype is developed to verify the test prediction effect. The clinical decision support system (CDSS) embedded with the XGB model based on clinical data and image features can better carry out personalized analysis of the risk of HC in intravenous injection patients

Study on the Synthesis and Properties of Waterborne Polyurea Modified by Epoxy Resin

The most notable features of polyurea are its fast reaction, energy-saving and high efficiency. In order to meet the needs of environmental protection, waterborne polyurea (WPUA) has become a research hotspot. However, the presence of hydrophilic groups in WPUA reduces its solvent resistance, heat resistance and mechanical properties. Therefore, it is necessary and valuable to develop a high-performance WPUA. In this study, epoxy-modified waterborne polyurea (WPUAE) emulsions were prepared using epoxy resin as a modifier. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) showed that E44 was successfully introduced into the molecular chain of WPUA. The WPUAE was tested for gel fraction, adhesion, contact angle, solvent resistance, tensile properties and thermal stability. The results showed that when the E44 content was 8 wt%, the performance of WPUAE was best, the adhesion of WPUAE coating film was 1.53 MPa, the gel fraction, water contact angle, water absorption, toluene absorption, tensile strength and decomposition temperature were 96.94%, 70.3°, 16.43%, 131.04%, 9.05 MPa and 365 °C, respectively. The results showed that epoxy resin as an emulsion modifier improved the comprehensive properties of WPUA

Subjective And Objective Quality Assessment Of Mobile Gaming Video

International audienceNowadays, with the vigorous expansion and development of gaming video streaming techniques and services, the expectation of users, especially the mobile phone users, for higher quality of experience is also growing swiftly. As most of the existing research focuses on traditional video streaming, there is a clear lack of both subjective study and objective quality models that are tailored for quality assessment of mobile gaming content. To this end, in this study, we first present a brand new Tencent Gaming Video dataset containing 1293 mobile gaming sequences encoded with three different codecs. Second, we propose an objective quality framework, namely Efficient hard-RAnk Quality Estimator (ERAQUE), that is equipped with (1) a novel hard pairwise ranking loss, which forces the model to put more emphasis on differentiating similar pairs; (2) an adapted model distillation strategy, which could be utilized to compress the proposed model efficiently without causing significant performance drop. Extensive experiments demonstrate the efficiency and robustness of our model

Liquid Formation in Sinters and Its Correlation with Softening Behaviour

Modern blast furnaces with extensive operational volume demand better-quality iron agglomerates as feed for stable operation. Sinter is the principal feed used in blast furnaces across Asia. Liquid generated during the sintering process plays an essential role in the coalescence of the sinter blend and in sinter quality. Therefore, an estimation of liquid properties at peak bed conditions during sintering helps manage sintering liquid behaviour, leading to better control of final sinter properties. In this study, three different iron sinters were reheated to sinter bed conditions, followed by quenching. Electron probe X-ray microanalysis (EPMA) was used to identify the resultant phases and quantify their chemical compositions. The impact of sinter bulk compositions was analysed, especially on sintering liquid properties. Furthermore, experiments were conducted to study the softening and melting behaviour of the sinters, and the cohesive range of the sinters was identified. Finally, the effect of the sinter bulk compositions on sintering liquid properties and softening behaviour is detailed

Waterborne Polyurea Coatings Filled with Sulfonated Graphene Improved Anti-Corrosion Performance

    No full text
In this paper, an environmentally friendly waterborne polyurea (WPUA) emulsion and its corresponding coating were prepared, which was characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). To improve the performance of the coating, we doped sulfonated graphene (SG) into WPUA to prepare composite coating (SG/WPUA). SG can be uniformly dispersed in WPUA emulsion and is stable for a long time (28 days) without delamination. The water resistance of the composite coating with 0.3 wt.% SG nanofiller was improved; the water contact angle (WCA) result was SG/WPUA (89°) > WPUA (48.5°), and water absorption result was SG/WPUA (2.90%) < WPUA (9.98%). After water immersion treatment, SEM observation revealed that the SG/WPUA film only generated enlarged microcracks (100 nm) instead of holes (150–400 nm, WPUA film). Polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) tests show that SG nanosheets with low doping content (0.3 wt.%) are more conducive to the corrosion resistance of WPUA coatings, and the model was established to explain the mechanism
